The C-DIAS Fellowship in Addiction Implementation Science is a structured professional development experience designed to strengthen the capacity of early- and mid-career professionals to apply rigorous implementation science methods to improve access to high-quality addiction treatment. The Fellowship enables participants to maintain full-time roles at their home institutions while engaging in a year of curated learning, mentoring, and peer cohort collaboration.
The curriculum combines didactic sessions, experiential peer-group learning, individualized mentoring, and guided professional development. Fellows participate in virtual seminars, attend C-DIAS research meetings and Virtual Grand Rounds, and are paired with expert mentors in implementation science. The program offers two tracks:
Research Track — focused on preparation for NIH-funded implementation science research careers.
Learning Health Systems Track — focused on applying implementation science methods within health systems as embedded researchers or improvement specialists.
In addition to networking and cohort-based learning, fellows have opportunities to lead scholarly contributions, including review articles and methodological papers, and receive CME/CE credits and a certificate upon completion.
While C-DIAS is not accepting applications for a new 2026 fellowship cohort, this page remains a resource for understanding the Fellowship’s structure, goals, and benefits. If you would like to learn more about other C-DIAS training offerings (including mentoring, expert consultations, and Virtual Grand Rounds), please explore our Educational Programs section or contact us.
